forgive me pips but the way I look at it it seems that for this kind of relationship, there is a sense of being imbalance. The teacher may use his power and influence to get the affection of the student thus becoming it as an unfair relationship...one that is not solely built on trust and love but rather on one's influence. not good at all

I would certainly agree with you admin....that there is an ongoing imbalance and a sense of exploitation on this kind of relationship....we should take note usually that in a relationship, being fair is always a necessity

ANything on this effect should be avoided......there should be a black and white boundary between these two roles----teacher and student....so many cases wherein one party (oftentimes the student) is neglected and abused / exploited by the other. so demeaning....

I am but a new member of this forum and from my point of view as a girl...i am rally against ths kind relationship...i think the adult (teacher) has a big responsibility over the student...never to exploit any weaknesses on the latter's part....

Of course for me it looks like it is a clear taking advantage of the situation making use of the position of being a teacher to get the approval of the student which is a very wrong thing on the first place.
